CEPD
had a visitor come to the window instead of the front
door. In the last newsletter we held a "choose the
caption" contest. The winner was DeWitt Harrison,
who received a USB memory stick with more GB than humans
should be allowed.

| New Product |
|
CEPD has new product to announce, a
synthesizer prototyping module. The module is designed to
allow users to quickly generate frequencies up to 600MHz for
use in their designs. The module includes a
synthesizer, VCO, voltage regulation and LNAs required
for producing two +8dBm output frequencies. The
module only requires a 12V power supply and SPI
communication to configure the PLL. Our digital radio kit
(DRK) is being modularized to support multiple frequency
bands, and uses this synthesizer to generate local
oscillators for up and down conversion to IF or
baseband.
Targeted Feature List:
- Up to 600MHz frequency generation
- Generates 2 +8dBm outputs
- Contains all components required for RF local oscillator
generation
- Compatible with CEPD's DRK
- Simple interface only requires 12VDC and
SPI
